About Us

The U.S. Atlantic salmon supply is heavily dependent on imports from precarious wild catch stock or net-pen aquaculture. Moreover, as already noted demand has grown and continues to outstrip supply. The U.S. consumer base wants more salmon, but needs it to come from sustainable sources, with less risk from international trade disputes or other disruptions. This salmon should also be traceable through the shortest supply-chain possible, to satisfy skeptical and climate conscious buyers. Highest quality animal welfare practices are expected. Yet food quality and taste cannot be sacrificed.

Located optimally to serve a Midwestern/Great Plains corridor including Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and beyond, GLA is positioned to become a segment-defining producer of Atlantic salmon. Utilizing innovative and energy-efficient RAS-way technology, striving for a low- or no-waste system, and reaching consumers through traceable short supply chains, GLA will elevate the product and consumer experience of Atlantic Salmon in the central United States.
